Call For Abstracts

The XIX CESH Congress will take place in Florence, on 22-24 October 2015.
The XIX Congress’ theme aims at exploring from a historical perspective the role of sport as a key driver for development, by enlightening its positive effects and contradictions at human, social, urban and economic level for people and society.

A satellite section of the Congress will be focused on a unique topic: the exploration of sporting activities’ traces during the time when Florence was the Capital city of Italy, from 1865 to 1870.

The CESH 2015 program structure will consist of three main session types:
• Plenary sessions (invited speakers)
• Scientific presentations
• Poster presentations

CESH cordially invites you and your colleagues/peers to submit a scientific abstract or poster to be considered for presentation at the conference. The conference website will be opened for submissions on April 13, 2015. NEW SUBMISSION DEADLINE JULY 19, 2015. NOTIFICATION TO AUTHORS SEPTEMBER 15, 2015.

When writing your abstract it is recommended that you specify if you want to be included within the satellite session “1865-1870: Florence Capital City” or in the general topical session.

Scientific abstracts

Presentations will be oral. Authors can give their speech to present their research both in english or in all european languages. It is suggested that authors prepare a power point presentation to support their speech. It is recommended that authors provide a power point in English in order to encourage and to favour the debate and the knowledge sharing during the discussion among the authors and their audience.

Abstracts may be submitted for presentation within the conference topical sessions or within the session “1865-1870: Florence Capital City” and will be peer reviewed.
